Come just us at the SoFo Tap in Chicago for a much needed medical fundraiser for sweet foster pup Matilda! They will be offering half priced drafts and we’ll have raffle tickets and IPR merchandise for sale!

About Matilda from her foster mom:
Matilda came into our rescue a couple weeks ago when we were contacted by a woman who asked us after having the dog for 9 months to come pick it up or she’s going to the pound. My husband and I drove down and when we got there our hearts just sank. She is not able to walk none of her legs work and there she was laying on cold hard floor! We grabbed the dog and basically ran out of there. It seems Matilda was born 9 months ago with swimmers syndrome which is easily corrected in the first months after birth and this woman chose to do nothing. Actually Matilda had never even been to a vet. She was skin and bones, loaded with worms, smelled horrible, has callus on her little legs from scooting around on hard surfaces and has a flat belly which means all her organs are compressed because she has never been able to stand. As soon as we could we got her to Premier Vet on Belmont where she had a CT and had consults with neurologist and orthopedic doc. Unfortunately it seems she will never be able to use her front legs so a wheelchair will eventually be needed. The ortho did say he may be able to fix her hind legs which would require 2 surgeries and extensive physical therapy after.
