Thank you for your interest in fostering for It’s a Pittie Rescue. Fostering is a very rewarding experience because you are literally saving a life as we pull our dogs from high kill shelters. As a foster, It’s a Pittie Rescue will cover the costs of medical for your foster dog and we will also provide you with food upon request. You will also have a foster “mentor” who will be able to answer questions and assist you in the process.
To be an eligible foster home, you must be over 21 years of age, complete the Foster Application and screening process, and agree to a home visit by an It’s a Pittie Rescue volunteer.
Fosters are required to take their foster dog to one of our vet partners. The vet partners are listed below:

- Glenwood Animal Hospital (Glenwood, IL)
- Millbrook Animal Care Clinic (Geneva, IL)
